12/14/23 – wanted to make you aware of a bill that is on the desk of the governor as I write – Honesty for Ohio Education is reaching out asking for educators and others to contact the governor and ask him to VETO this bill – HB 68 – this bill is about gender affirming care and allowing families and medical providers to make these decisions and not law makers…if you would like to take action – use the link above. This link will take you to the page that discusses all the bill is trying to do. What is honest education? “Every child deserves an honest high-quality education grounded in truth, facts, and diverse perspectives, ​regardless of race, identity, background, or zip code.”

 

everyone – this is just in – 6/28/23 = there is a group called the Freedom Foundation that is targeting members in the area = they are NOT about Freedom – unless you call making less money and taking away our pensions Freedom – find out more HERE

NHEA personal commentary regarding the above – please, please vote NO on issue 1 – this ranks right up there with how badly Ohio is Gerrymandered in terms of taking away voices of dissent here in Ohio – it is another example of the – the initiative, referendum, and recall are all examples of ways that gave “voice” back to voters and constituents – this law sets us back in time to the early 1900s and the power political machines that left citizens voiceless – PLEASE VOTE NO ON ISSUE 1
